Bury Your Dead

Bury Your Dead Bury Your Dead is a five-piece melodic hardcore band that hails from Worcester, Massachusetts, United States.

This year, Bury Your Dead unleashed their newest throat-stomping album, It’s Nothing Personal. Balanced with melodic counterparts, the fast-paced in-your-face album was written directly after the band’s van flip last September. Numbed with leg injury-induced codeine, the record was written over a six-month time span, more time than the band is used to. Armed with spitfire lyrics and a voice of variety, guitarist Slim explains, “We called this record It’s Nothing Personal because for all the bullshit people have to say about bands—whether they hate them or they suck—at the end of the day, we are still the ones out on tour and risking everything for this. This is what we had to do, like it or not; it’s nothing personal.”

SEPT 08 TOUR : DAY 2
Johnson city, tn

"God bless middle of nowhere, America.
You know, when we first decided to do this tour we were bouncing around the ideas of what bands we wanted to bring out, where we wanted to go, and where to play. The answer was so clear: Let's get back to basics. Most of the year has been spent touring in a bus, in mini arenas. huge super fancy clubs, high ticket prices, large crowds etc. For us in the band, that's always fun and it definitely feels good to play to thousands of people a night. I mean, seriously, who wouldn't love that? Its the dream of rock music coming true. However, I've noticed that its really easy to let all of that go to your head if you are not firmly rooted with a good head on your shoulders. That in mind, we decided we wanted to do something different for a bit. Ask bands that we like and respect to share a stage with us, Play smaller clubs, in cities we normally don't make it to or haven't been able to hit much this year, jump in the van, and do what we do best....FUCKING PARTY! There's just something about a small, hot, over capacity club full of kids who are losing it( har har), stagediving all over the place without the threat of lame bouncers and security ready to throw someone out on their ear at the drop of a hat. You simply cannot beat it.

Tonight was just that. We played the hideaway in Tennessee. Now I have been here before in previous travels and had high hopes for our evening. You guys definitely did not disappoint. Tonight was a lot of fun. We met lots of new friends, got to see old familiar faces and had an all around blast. This was the first night of tour for For the Fallen Dreams. I really like their new tunes. I can tell I'm going to have a good time watching them sweat their hearts out every night. We played some really old songs we haven't played all year which went over very well. Thanks to all of you guys out there singing along. After the show we took forever to pack up then headed to the only place a band can eat really awesomely shitty food late at night: waffle house. Yum yum. Even though I never did get that waffle I ordered, the hash browns were definitely on point. Oh well, I really should be better with keeping up my girlish figure. Ummmm yeah I'm out of here. Tomorrow is north Carolina and The van is pulling off.

Party on, Wayne
